Keynote Speaker Alex Lasry
In 2022, Alex ran for U.S. Senate where he finished second in the primary election. Alex also led the successful bid for Milwaukee to host the 2020 Democratic National Convention, and in 2019 Alex was named Milwaukee Community Leader and Executive of the Year for his efforts. Prior to his time with the Bucks he worked in the Obama White House as the deputy counselor for strategic engagement. In June 2023, Alex was elected to the Democratic National Convention representing the Wisconsin Party Membership. He has a B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania and a MBA from NYU Leonard N. Stern School of Business.
Special Guest Chef Emerson Holliday
If you haven't had the chance to try Downtown Racine's newest restaurant — Dragon Pit, you've missed something really special! Chef Holliday began is culinary entrepreneurship with a pop-up in The Branch's uptown kitchen. His growing following expanded to a food truck last April and then a brick-and-mortar restaurant on Sixth Street in October 2024.
When U.S. Senator Tammy Baldwin came to Racine last fall, looking for great new businesses to highlight — Dragon Pit was the obvious choice and her campaign staff got a sneak preview of Emerson's menu!
